Slow Cooker Beef and Bean Chili
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
1 C yellow onion, chopped
1 C green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed well
15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed well
15 oz petite diced tomatoes, undrained
12 oz tomato sauce
2 Tb chili powder
1 Tb cumin
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 C chicken broth
Optional toppings:
shredded cheese
jalapeno slices
green onions
Directions
Cook and drain ground beef. Add to the bowl of a 5-6 quart slow cooker, along with remaining ingredients.
Gently stir to combine. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours.
Serve with optional shredded cheese, jalapeno slices or green onions.
