Slow Cooker Bratwurst with Onions and Peppers

Ingredients

6 bratwursts
1 tablespoon oil
2 large onions sliced
3 bell peppers sliced
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt

Directions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Brown the bratwursts on all sides for about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the browned bratwursts to the slow cooker.

Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic on top of the bratwursts.

In a small bowl, mix together the chicken broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
Pour the mixture over the bratwursts and vegetables in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the bratwursts are fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.

Serve the bratwursts with the onions and peppers on rolls or with your favorite sides.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
