Crockpot Applesauce
Ingredients
6 apples peeled and quartered
½ cup and 2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp water (or ¼ cup water depending on apple size)
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp cinnamon
Directions
Wash and peel the apples. Chop the apples into quarters and add them to the crockpot.
Add the white sugar, brown sugar, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon to the crock pot. Gently stir to cover the apples.
Cover the crockpot and cook for 3-4 hours on high.
When the timer goes off, turn the crockpot off and let the apples cool for about 5 minutes.
Remove almost all of the excess liquid from the crockpot before blending with an immersion blender.
Serve warm or chilled, depending on preference.
