Lamb Shanks, Sausages and Beans

Ingredients

2 onion, chopped
3 tablespoons butter
1 pound small white beans, soaked overnight drained
3 lamb shanks
4 carrots, sliced
salt and pepper, to taste
1 bay leaf
4 garlic sausages, sliced 1/2″ thick

Directions

Place beans in bottom of Crock Pot and add remaining ingredients except sausages, with 1 1/2 quarts water. Cover and cook on high 2 hours, then on low 10 to 12 hours. Add sausages, cover and cook on high 30 minutes.
