Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey
1 C yellow onion, chopped
3/4 C red bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
15 oz petite diced tomatoes, undrained
15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed well
1/4 C pure maple syrup
3 Tb chili powder
1 Tb cumin
1 Tb paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 C chicken broth

Toppings:
Green onions, chopped
Cheddar cheese, shredded
Sour cream

Directions

Equipment

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble turkey until no longer pink. Drain of any liquid. Transfer to the bowl of a 5-6 quart slow cooker.

Add remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Gently toss to combine.

Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 8 hours.

Serve warm with optional toppings.
