Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Chops with Gravy
Ingredients
4 pork chops 1-inch thick, bone-in chops
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1½ cups chicken broth
½ cup milk
1 packet ranch seasoning
1 tsp cornstarch optional
Directions
Add olive oil to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops. Add to the skillet and sear about 2 minute per side. Place pork chops in the slow cooker.
In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute. Warm milk and chicken broth in the microwave. Slowly add to flour mixture, whisking constantly until it has thickened. Whisk in Ranch seasoning.
Pour the ranch mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-4 hours until a meat thermometer reads 145º. The time will vary depending on the thickness and number of pork chops in the slow cooker, so start checking the temperature at 1 ½ hours.
Remove the pork chops and pour the gravy into a saucepan over medium heat. In a small bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add to the sauce, whisking until slightly thickened, pour over pork chops.
